A: We Are Sacred is a 9-week empowerment series designed by Indigenous women, for Indigenous women and girls. It moves away from standard safety training to focus on a decolonized, trauma-informed approach that celebrates cultural identity as our greatest source of protection.
A: While we discuss physical boundaries and personal safety, we are much more than a self-defense class. We focus on holistic wellness—strengthening the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual self. We believe that true safety comes from a deep connection to our intuition, our community, and our culture.
A: Our 9-week series is specifically designed for Indigenous girls and women. It is a safe, trauma-informed space for those looking to build resilience, understand healthy boundaries, and reconnect with their cultural strength.
A: Each session is grounded and interactive. You can expect a mix of physical movement (like the Four Directions Stretch), guided mindfulness (like our Water Meditation), group ice-breakers, and private time for reflective journaling. We end the program with a celebration and a Certificate of Completion.
A: We love partnering with new communities! We work closely with local leaders to ensure the program is a good fit. You can reach out to us through our Contact Page to start the conversation.
